The city of Ottawa is in the final stages of completing Class Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Orleans Watermain Link (OWL). The OWL is needed to improve the reliability of water supply to the city’s East End and to meet capacity needs for future urban growth.
Several alternatives for the link have been identified and evaluated based on the wide range of criteria. The map below shows the preliminary preferred route for the OWL. The local alignement may change as part of the design process following the completion of the EA.
For complete and up to date information about how this can affect you, make sure to visit the City of Ottawa’s web site. You can provide your comments by mail, e-mail or through the project’s web site no later than March 16, 2012.
